This is a 216-page deluxe soft cover anthology consisting of comic stories and art, fiction, essays and a 21 track CD compilation featuring several national and Pittsburgh indie rock bands. With hundreds of creators involved, Unicorn Mountain is the most ambitious project to ever emerge from the Pittsburgh underground arts community.

"Regardless of whatever some coke machine head hollywood dipsy doodle (read: Sienna Miller) sez about Pittsburgh, do not be fooled by fools: this town rules. Case in point has to be the second issue of Unicorn Mountain. A hep chunk of book with lotsa local art, music and writing with a healthy handshake to outlying neighbors from New York and Easthampton, MA (paper rad!). The CD inside is reason enuff with sweet trax from usaisamonster, Zombi, Coachwhips, Oneida, ex models, Karl Hendricks, Elf Power and a buncha others. Wicked!"

"It's hard to live up to a name that sounds like a Gygax-penned D & D module, but the thick black and white book has comics, fiction, illustrations, and a 21-song CD with Elf Power, The USA is a Monster, and Oneida. Paper Rad contributes a few illustrations, Beano draws two fine comics, and there's much more. Anthologies are fun, and this one is extra brave since it introduces so many new names."
